“The Tragedy of Cleopatra” was published in 1599. It was printed by Peter Short in London. The volume, authored by Samuel Daniel, dealt with the life of Cleopatra, and rumors continue that Daniel’s work was created under the studious eye of William Shakespeare, himself.
This is the original frontispiece for his work. It has been restored for clarity and readability. This would make a great addition to any journal or scrapbook for historic literature fans and fanatics.
