Who are we?
Black House Books is a publisher and seller of a variety of digital products, including, but not limited to: ebooks, stationary sets, sticker sets, journaling papers, scrapbooking papers, original photography, and a variety of other similar products. The shop is in southwestern Virginia.
What information do we collect?
To better protect your privacy, we collect as little data as possible. This should include only the details necessary to process your purchase. All financial transactions (excluding personal checks) are processed via Paypal or Stripe. These are secured and respected sites that maintain strict privacy policies. We do not see your financial information at all.
We do not store your email address unless you voluntarily sign up for our newsletter. We do not force-subscribe any visitor, even when you make a purchase.
What little data we collect, if any, is used exclusively for improving the web site’s operation and your experience, as a user. It helps us to understand what our visitors prefer to see and what products draw the most interest. This will help us add similar products in the future.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
